Sisters Empowerment Network needed a modern, functional digital presence that could support both its core mission and expanding programs. In addition to a full website redesign, the organization required:

- Program-specific infrastructure for workforce development
- Ongoing support to keep content current and usable
The goal was clarity, accessibility, and readiness for growth.
The Solution
SIO Consulting partnered with Sisters Empowerment Network across multiple projects to design, build, and maintain digital tools aligned with their mission. The work extended beyond design into program functionality, resource development, and systems thinking.
Program & Community Impact
The Safety Planning Guide equips women experiencing domestic violence with actionable steps related to:
- Emergency contacts
- Safe spaces
- Essential documents
- Transportation
- Legal considerations
- Financial independence
The workforce development site enables participants to discover programs and register for workshops without staff intervention, reducing administrative burden.
Our Approach
SIO Consulting delivered phased support based on organizational priorities and capacity. Key work included:
– Redesigning and restructuring the main organizational website
– Developing a downloadable Safety Planning Guide for women preparing to leave abusive situations
– Creating a separate workforce development website with built-in workshop registration system
– Designing a program logo, flyers, and social media assets for outreach
– Providing ongoing website updates and content support as needed
Each deliverable was designed to be clear, accessible, and easy for staff to maintain.
